I answered the telephone and took reservations. Not only did I greet and seat our customers, but I helped clear and set tables, bring food out to customers, and when I noticed something needed to be done I took it upon myself to do it. I also helped sell various merchandise for the restaurant.
Office Manger, Action Sport Rentals, San Diego, California 2006-2008
I worked in the office and out on the dock for the rental company. Being a manager, my responsibilities included: answering the phone, doing the paperwork, keeping reservations in order, working the register, customer service and dealing with upset customers, and making difficult decisions. Out on the dock I managed the motorboats, sailboats, waverunners, and kayaks. I taught customers the rules and safety regulations so they would enjoy their time out on the water and be safe.
