INSTRUCTOR: Niv Genchel
MEETING TIMES: Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:50 p.m.
E-mail: niv@sdwebclass.com
Schedule Number: 20200
I will make myself available before and after the scheduled class time by appointment. Please talk to me in class or contact me via e-mail concerning scheduling an appointment.
Please, do not hesitate to approach me with any art 339B class need or concern.
I am available to assist you the best I can in your academic pursuit.
Please feel free to reach me by e-mail, niv@sdwebclass.com at any time.
I will return your message as soon as possible.
You will be expected to complete ALL assignments. Incomplete assignments will not be evaluated for a grade. This class meets 1 hour and 50 minutes each week. However, you are also expected to spend about 2 to 4 hours outside of class each week on assignments to do well.
You are required to keep an artist's sketchbook. This sketchbook is a very important tool to you as an artist or designer because it is a record of your creative and cognitive process: it archives random but useful ideas; it helps you develop your drawing skills through practice; and it shows your progress and growth from start to finish of individual projects as-well-as over a period of time.
You are required to show up to every class on time. I will take attendance at the beginning and end of each class; it is your responsibility to let me know you came in late so that you don't remain marked down as absent. I also find it unacceptable for students to leave class early unless the entire class lets out early. Arriving late and leaving early will negatively affect your class participation grade, and if you miss a significant portion of the class, you will be marked as absent. Work / employment is NOT an excuse for tardiness or leaving early.
One cannot participate in a class when he or she does not attend it
Not being able to work in class as a result of not having necessary materials is the
equivalent of an absence.
